Meet IAmChrisJalbert

IAmChrisJalbert (also known as Christopher Jalbert). I am an Android Developer based out of Gloucester, Massachusetts. By day, I navigate the fast-paced and complex world of freight forwarding. By night, I build clean, fast, and private mobile applications for Android. I specialize in building native applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

I started the "Simply" Collection because I was tired of mobile apps filled with bloated menus, intrusive tracking, and unnecessary data hoarding. I wanted tools and games that just work—apps designed specifically to respect your time, battery life, and privacy.

My development philosophy is centered on privacy and utility. I believe that apps should be tools that enhance your life, not traps designed to steal your time or your data. This led to the creation of the Simply Collection, a suite of distraction-free tools for modern living.

Outside of code, I’m a family man. I live on the North Shore with my wife, Amber (often referred to as "Pizza"), and my two children, Lorelai (Ace) and Emersyn. Whether it's listening to the Foo Fighters, and the occasional ICP, or exploring local Gloucester engineering, I draw inspiration from the practical and the permanent.
